A lesson in customer service

I went to Bunnings yesterday (the wallmart of hardware)  to buy a sensor light, I was in a hurry  and got the wrong one.  Today I returned it.  At the returns counter, I spoke to Amy and she started the refund process, another staff member came past and Amy asked her a question, they then had a great converstaion about work rosters and boyfriends,  I did not exist.

When the refund process finished, Amy wished me a “nice day”….. it felt fake because she didn’t pay me any attention during the completing of the refund.

I just wonder how often I have done a similar thing without being aware.   A customer should have our complete attention.

Maybe this was karma for missing church!
